- MGB rubber to chrome bumper conversion - Step by step photo journal of a 1980 MGB being converted to chrome grille and bumpers.
- 1960 MGA restoration March 2003-November 2004
- 1957 MGA restoration November 2004-January 2006
- 1 owner MGA in for a "refresh" - Originally purchased new by the current owners father in 1960 in Greenwich, Ct. Now in the shop for a mechanical and cosmetic freshening.
- 1948 MG TC interior restoration - Along with some minor mechanical issues, this nice 48 TC is in the shop for a new interior, dash, top and tonneau. We also modified the rear axle hubs to use the later, MGA wheel bearings.
- 1963 Triumph TR3B Restoration-Sept. 2005 - June 2007 - An Original Owner car that has been sitting in the owners garage for 33 years. The owner contacted us and it is now in our shop for a complete restoration. Very nice, unmolested car. Typical rust in rockers, sills, floors. Frame is solid. After a little work, the motor came to life and actually sounded quite healthy.
The tear down begins!
- 1970 MGB GT Restoration August 2005- May 2007 (Original Owner!) - This MG was picked up by its Original Owner at the British Leyland headquarters in Leonia, NJ back in 1970. After sitting dorment since the early 80's it is here in our shop for a complete restoration to its former BRG glory.
- 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite restoration Dec 2005-June 2007 - We are begining a "rotisserie" restoration on a 1959 Bugeye Sprite.
- TR6 "refresh" - New to the shop is this 2 owner 1975 Triumph TR6. It has been sitting unused in the owners garage for at least a decade. We will be bringing it back to life mechanically. Then strip exterior compnents and re-spray it in its original Mimosa color.
- 1967 Mini Traveller restoration - We received this Mini, after its new paint job, and given the task of "finishing the job". Usually not a bad thing, except everything arrived in boxes...unlabeled boxes of new, old parts...a Mini jigsaw puzzle.
- 1977 MGB CB Conversion and Repaint - A recently completed conversion utilizing the Moss Motors kit.
- Land Rover 109 Structural Repairs - A recently purchased LR in need of rust repair. We completed the repairs necessary to get the truck safely back into service, short of replacing the frame.
- Moss Motors MGB A/C Installation - We had the pleasure of installing one of the first available A/C kits that Moss Motors has engineered for the MGB. The installation is completed, and everyone at the shop is very impressed with what Moss has put together. It is pretty comprehensive, with nicely thought-out bracketry, wiring, and packaging. We installed this kit into a '67 GT that had very poor wiring, so the wiring harness was also changed. Other than that, the kit pretty much dropped right in per the extensive instructions (50+ pages) and with a charge of R134a it is blowing cold!
- 1950 MG-TD Resurrection - The owner of this TD bought the car when he graduated from college in 1961. Mechanically it was sorted by another shop, but is now in our hands for completion of the cosmetic issues. Although the sheetmetal and frame are rust-free from years of storage, the ash frame has not survived as well. After replacing the bad wood, it will be painted MG Autumn red, receive a new leather interior, and miscellaneous other bits to resurrect it for the long-time owner.
- Mini Cooper Refurbishment - A 1965 Austin Mini Cooper that has returned to our shop for a general service and engine bay refurbishment, after having a new interior and trim work installed 2 years ago. We are dropping the front subframe, repainting the bay, and detailing the engine and all components before returning the entire assembly to the chassis.
- 1974 MGB-GT Factory V8 Engine Bay Restoration - This UK-spec Factory V8 MG was originally owned by the wife of the owner of a MG dealer in Scotland. She wanted a black GT, not the Bracken that this car was originally painted. Unfortunately, when they painted the exterior they chose to just UNDERCOAT the engine bay. It was a filthy mess when acquired by Pete Cosmides in 2007, but that is about to change.
- MGB Rust Repair - MGB rust repair is one of our most common jobs, and often one of the most necessary as well! This particular example is actually in better shape than most we see here in the North East.
- Austin Healey 3000 Engine Rebuild and Engine Bay Restoration - This Healey Blue 3000 has an original engine with failing oil pressure and a tendency to blow blue smoke. We are rebuilding the engine and cleaning/painting the engine bay the correct color while it is out. The exterior will be repainted at a later date.
- MGB Sebring Replica Build - Although this car started as a regular 1975 MGB, it will undergo numerous cosmetic and performance upgrades in an effort to build a Sebring replica that is capable on the street and track.
- Austin Healey Chrome Restoration - This Healey was recently purchased from St. Louis and shipped directly to us for finishing touches. The chrome was stripped off and sent out for replating, and numerous personal touches added.
- 1958 MG ZB Magnette - This is a personal project of Ed's here at the shop. He intends to repair the rust and return it to presentable "driver" condition. Stay tuned as the project progresses in the coming months...
- Russett Brown MGB Re-Paint - Russett is a much-maligned color, but truly beautiful when done right. We replaced some minor rust in the fender bottoms and the doglegs and had it painted in original Russett Brown.
- Innocenti Mini 1001 Body Restoration - This Mini was purchased in Sicily, Italy when its current owner was stationed there for military service. He wants us to restore the body, and probably go through the mechanicals at a later date.
- 1980 MGB LE Awakening - Like many MGs in our shop, this car had been sitting for many years and needed some TLC. The owner decided to take it a step further than a simple awakening, so it is receiving rust repair/paint, a drivetrain rebuild, and a new interior.
- Motorcar Garage Tech Session: 02-21-09 - The shop recently held a tech session to discuss the general braking systems on British cars, and had an excellent turnout. Braking theory, equipment, and maintenance were all covered. Thank you to all who attended!

- Early MGB Seat Restoration - We often do seats and upholstery at the shop - here is an example of the common early MGB seats being brought back to life.
- MGA Restoration Finished for Returning Soldier - We had the honor of finishing this MGA for Lieutenant Colonel Edward "Pete" Peterson as his surprise when he returned from six months of service for the Air Force in Kurdistan. When he left it was mechanically running, but needed just about everything else done. In the six months he was away his father and wife had us complete the car for his arrival home. He returned May 9, 2009 and we surprised him at a local cruise night with his "new" MGA. He was just admiring the car, and we walked up and handed him the keys… he was completely blown away! Scroll down to the bottom to see the reveal, or follow along through all the photos to see the work done.
