An Original Owner car that has been sitting in the owners garage for 33 years. The owner contacted us and it is now in our shop for a complete restoration. Very nice, unmolested car. Typical rust in rockers, sills, floors. Frame is solid. After a little work, the motor came to life and actually sounded quite healthy. The tear down begins!
drivers side floor cut out for replacement. Left side sill and rocker cut out.  Some minor rust to the mounting areas needs to be addressed before new sills can be welded in.
inner front fender lower lip rust cut out and replaced, to provide new lip for the new sill. Sill and rocker hand fitted to check for fit and measurements.  Orange ratchet strap in place to bring door opening back to original Door installed to check and adjust for panel fit, before welding begins.
Outer rocker will need some modification when it is finally fit.
New, inner sill is welded in place. new drivers floor welded on place new floor and outer rocker in place
With new door hinges, and some Taking a break from rust repair welding, we stripped the front fender paint, to find a very straight piece. Lower 8 Passneger door paint stripped.  Again, very straight, with the exception of some minor body filler.  NO RUST!
Rear fneder front section has been cut out. Had rust along the wheel well area and the lower front section.  New patch to be welded in place All the panles have been chemically stripped of paint, revealing some very nice, straight original panels. Some minor body filler from previous repairs, but not bad for a 44 year old car.
New quarter requires quite a bit of hand fitting and
right rear inner fender rust along fender mount. this was cut out and a patch was fabricated. New patch welded in place
Small rust hole, above the right rear tail light was cut out.
Right rear inner fender rusted out fabricated patch most of the rust repair is finished, an new door skin has been installed and we are ready to remove the body to start on restoring the chassis components.
Body off ready for media blasting, while we attack the chassis components. We scraped the bulk grease off the frame then pressure washed it complete witht he suspension components, prior to complete disassembly. Ready for paint
TR3 suspension components, cleaned or new ready for re-assembly. Completed frame, with all new suspension installed. Ready for the body.
The body tub was plastic media blasted and a coat of self etching epoxy primer applied, before we begin the body filler and final paint prep.
Newly re-upholstered leatherseats, done here in house. Along with the newly refinished dash, also done here.
Rebuilt engine and gearbox installed in rolling chassis, along with new exhaust system.
Finished paint. Base coat/clear coat with a reducer in the clear, to give a more authentic '60s finish. Preparing to lift new body onto refinished rolling chassis.

new wiring harness and wiring components. Motor almost ready for the initial post rebuild start-up. New fuel tank installed.
Wiring harness run, we begin to install lights.  Fenders will go on LAST, to avoid unnecessary scratching. Front apron assemblied and ready for installation on car. The cars original and current owner with his daughter, who will be the lucky owner when we are finished.
ON the road!! The TR3 performed very well for its maiden voyage. Here is Ed Sweeney and Pete Cosmides enjoying the fruits of our labor.  It'll be done in no time now. Ed with the finished door panel/hardware assembly.  Nice work for a self taught upholsterer. Interior nearing completion.
Interior and new windshield completed. New glass, new chrome and seals.
All completed, polished, and ready for delivery to Colorado.
