This MG was picked up by its Original Owner at the British Leyland headquarters in Leonia, NJ back in 1970. After sitting dorment since the early 80's it is here in our shop for a complete restoration to its former BRG glory.

Inner sill rust Typical fuel tank rust, along the top of the tank. This will need to be replaced.
Drivers side floor rust.
fenders off, ready to pull the engine for medai blasting of the engine bay. right side rocker panel/sill rust.
Right side, front fender upper ledge.  Hidden rust. Car is delivered to the media blaster to have the engine bay and front suspension blaste of paint and grunge. The GT is back from the media blaster, and the full extent of the rust is evident. Rust in all the usual MGB places. We will be replaceing both floors, inner and outer rockers, lower sill and various patching around rear fender arches and inner fender
right rear fender arch had some rust, that we cut out.  We fabricated a patch for a small rust spot on the inner fender, then fabricated a patch for the outer fender. Welded in and ground down. The same will be necessary for the left side. Patched and ready for a skim of plastic filler Left rear quarter damage that had been covered up with some filler is uncovered.
We had the engine bay and underside media blasted. Here is the rear section. Dropped the front suspension to paint the engine bay, 1st coat of Epoxy primer in the engine bay, and underside to protect bare metal, while we replace the rusted floors, sills and rockers.

old door skin removed from frame New door skin installed, ready for primer and paint Bare body has been epoxy primered to protect from flash rust while we continue on the rust repair.
newly reupholstered seats. original interior was black, but owner has chosen to switch to autmn leaf Floors cut-out. Lower sill plate very rusted.
new lower sill welded in place. Ready for the inner vertical sill. New outer rocker in place. repairing ruster floor support section.
drivers side rust repair just about complete with the installation of the new floor floor section. We have moved onto the right side of the car, cutting and grinding out the rusted sections.  Which includes everything (sills, rockers, floors )but the inner rocker, which actually will need some patching at its forward section.
