Follow along from purchase in California, a replacement of the rusty floors from a leaky sunroof, new interior, an engine bay cleanup and a thorough detailing. This car has original 45-year-old paint!

At this point, the exterior is done. With a car this straight and unmolested, time can be spent applying personal touches rather than metalwork and painting.
Remember the leaky sunroof? Here is what was hiding under the carpets.
The old carpets were salvaged to make patterns out of new Wilton Wool. The factory floormats were in excellent condition, and will be re-dyed green. The old floorpan, next to the new. These were cut from flat sheet, and the pressings hade by hand with a bead-roller.
The new pans welded in, primed, and seam-sealed. The rest of the underside is in great shape. The exhaust is the original BMC unit.
The new carpets have been fit, and the re-dyed rubber mats re-installed. Although the rear seat was perfect, we had the piping pulled out and changed for green to match the floors - one of only a handful of modifications from original.
The completed interior. Back to the dirty-work, the engine was pulled. Clearly the entire assembly needs a good scrubbing.
The timing cover seal was leaking the worst... Can you believe the car didn't run hot?!?! The radiator completely caked with dirt and oil from years of leakage and lack of maintenance. Engine degreased and prepped for paint
